Phil Lankester In late 2001 Phil started his own monthly night at the legendary Club 414 in Brixton. With the success of his dj’ing career came many more gigs. Phil has topped over 300 sets within 7 years, headlining some nights and playing alongside other established DJ’s. Phil has played some of the best venues, including The Fridge (Brixton), Brixton Academy, KOKO (formerly Camden Palace) and many more. He has also played for some of the most established promotions, Frantic, Hard House Academy, Basic, Heat, and more! Phil now runs the label, Impact Recordings alongside Steve Blake, Phil Reynolds & Ben Bennett. The Hard Dance label has made a considerable amount of No. 1’s on Hard Dance charts around the world. Alongside the record label is his own party, Puzzle Project. PP is quickly approaching it’s 3rd Birthday and the brand is becoming a huge success with DJ’s wanting to play from all over. Phil toured in 2003 playing many countries which included Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and more. Then later returned to Thailand in late 2004 for The Full Moon Party, one of his dj’ing highlights. In the last 8 years he has gained a few residencies, including Swamp, Alumni, Just Groove, PP, Obsession, and Smile. Phil has a great presence behind the decks, the DJ booth quickly becomes the centre of attention. His flawless mixing and tune selection will keep anyone moving. Phil adapts to a crowd easily, he can quickly judge what style should be played for his set to keep people wanting more.
