With extra votes this year, the run in was exciting
as DJs, brands, tracks and members all jostled for
position. With bribes, lies, attempted cheats and a
flurry of god knows how many PMs and emails, we were
left at the end with a set of results that has
remained under lock and key until now. This is the
HarderFaster Members Awards 2007!!
With some very silly people wasting their votes by
submitting pointless answers, it was left to the
more clued up members to let their voices be heard
and didn’t they do well. The spread of answers were
as always like our board and its members, diverse
and filled with surprises.
Of course the one member who voted for BK –
Revolution as best track is either stuck in their
ways or maybe they’re just quick to trying to think
.
Some other members seemed a bit stuck in their ways
too with votes for new tracks, events and venues
that are already getting on a bit, but who are we to
argue if you really do like it.
We’d also like to say thank you to all those that
voted TT and The HF Xmas Party as your favourite
event!
However as always their can only be one winner, well
as long as there’s not a tie, so on we go people to
the main event, the winners of this years awards,
along with honourable mentions for those we felt
deserving!
Each winner has obviously captured your interest and
long may that continue, so come with us as we tip
our hats to the best that 2007 had to offer.

Which was the best overall promotion of the year?
Winner: Zoology
Runners up last year and moving in to the top spot
this year! Whoever said you have to be big to be
big?

After Party of the Year 2007
Straight from the club to the afterparty... or maybe
you made it the main event?
Winner: Twist
Maybe it’s been the concentration on quality over
quantity this year for the nomadic afterparty.
Another tick in the box for the irrepressible Twist

When you wanted a daytime party which event took
your fancy?
Winner: Alumni
Another runner up takes pole position this year and
another success for the 414!

Which new promotion starting this year shows the
most promise?
Winner: Magnetix
Is there no stopping the promotions at the 414. This
trance party has already seen success and brought
some big names to the small venue. What does 2008
hold?

This year's best remix of an old track?
Winner: Adrenaline Dept – U Got 2 Be There (MDA &
Spherical remix)
It nearly won the best track but it seems the remix
had just the right touches to take it through to the
finish line, another success for the duo signed to
Oblivion!

Which DJ mixed album was the best of the year?
Winner: BK — Under The Influence
With a collection of tracks spanning the dance music
spectrum this was always going to be a well received
EP. Plaudits came from all around and now, you, the
HF members have given it your seal of approval too.

Which label has produced the most outstanding tracks
this year?
Winner: Oblivion Recordings
With top releases coming out of their ears, a
diversification of music types and some all round
good guys at the helm, Oblivion have taken the top
spot this year.

Even with such a close run battle here, we were
still the first to be surprised by a tie in this
category, but the quality that’s pumped out by these
leading lights can’t be questioned. They’ll just
have to take turns with the honours.

Which producer emerging this year has shown the most
talent?
Winner: Deadmau5
Showing you lot know a bit more about music that
just hard dance, this prolific Canadian has
certainly impressed with 14 releases in 2007. His
sound almost typifies the tech-trance-electro-house
crossover that looks to dominate the world in 2008.

They won the best remix so it’s not surprising that
they’ve tucked HF’s Best Remixers into the bag on

With his fans turning out in force again to vote for
our French chef cooking up a storm, the Twist and Do

The DJMag Ones To Watch have turned out in force
over the past year wowing you and your Gran with

Pipping some other well respected DJs to the title
yet again, the Twist army have voted Karim the HF

Which HarderFaster member did you love to hate in
2007?
Winner: Zod
With his sometimes challenging ideas and quick wit
tempered by an in depth knowledge of how to wind
users up and get into arguments quickly, Zod takes
the Dark Side title. Lets hope 2008 helps adjust
some of his zeal for positive endevours, (God
Willing).
